Pharmacokinetic interactions between ethanol and heroin: A study on post-mortem cases
Highlights • Analysis of autopsy samples revealed ethanol interference with heroin metabolism. • Both the metabolism of 6-monoacetylmorphine and morphine were inhibited. • The same findings were observed in cases involving a very recent intake of heroin.
