Preliminary investigation on the effect of soil moisture on oospore maturation in Plasmopara viticola

During a 2-year trial, an investigation on the effect of soil moisture on oospore maturation and germination in P. viticola has been carried out. On the basis of the results obtained, it seems that such processes are improved by a condition of variable rather than constant moisture.
