A neuregulin 1 transmembrane domain mutation causes imbalanced glutamatergic and dopaminergic receptor expression in mice

Highlights • NMDAR levels were increased in the cortex and nucleus accumbens of Nrg1+/− mice. • NMDAR levels were reduced in the thalamus of Nrg1+/− mice. • Nrg1+/− mice showed reduced striatal D2 receptor levels. • M1/4 and CB1 receptors remained largely unaltered in Nrg1+/− mice.
