Summary: | A method is proposed for determining saturation pressure as a function of saturation temperature without using computers and handbooks, which is of particular interest for checking pump efficiency, appraising saturation pressure variation in the system, and designing complicated high-vacuum systems. A table is provided for construction of saturation curves, upon use of which the error in the determination of saturated vapor pressure as a function of temperature does not exceed one-half order of magnitude for all the investigated gases. An ordered relationship of critical points of noble gases is presented in saturation pressure-temperature coordinates. |
