Description
Summary:In this paper we present data on egg dimensions and clutch size, collected during a long-term study of Chough population and breeding ecology on Islay. A central aspect of this study has been the colour-ringing of birds to allow individual identification and so nesting statistics have been collected from several known individual females over a number of years. We make use of this individual data set to investigate whether the variation in egg dimensions between nest sites is due to differences between individual females or due to intrinsic differences between sites.
