Summary: | In some cases, failure of solid-state electronic devices is difficult to explain within the conventional concepts of radiation physics. Using as an example the recent accident that took place on the Russian space station for collecting the soil samples from the Martian moon Phobos, we show the necessity of consideration of synergetic cooperation in radiation damage production between the different phenomena caused by irradiation process. |
