Summary: | A prototype of an oligonucleotide microarray for detection of the Lassa, Junin, Machupo, Guanarito viruses (Arenaviridae family), Ebola and Marburg viruses (Filoviridae family) has been presented. The design of primers and probes for hybridization was performed using an original approach based on the analysis of amino acid sequences of virus proteins (nucleocapsid protein for the Junin, Guanarito, and Machupo viruses and RNA-dependent RNA-polymerase for the Lassa, Ebola, and Marburg viruses) with the subsequent decoding of the identified unique peptides in the corresponding sets of oligonucleotides. |
