Effect of gamma -irradiation on the refractive indices and optical absorption of poly(vinyl alcohol) doped with NiCl sub(2) and CrCl sub(3)
Optical absorption and refractive indices were measured for gamma -irradiated poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) doped with NiCL sub(2) and varying amounts of CrCl sub(3). It was concluded that the stability of samples depends upon both composition and radiation dose. Moreover, the refractive indices were fo...

Summary: | Optical absorption and refractive indices were measured for gamma -irradiated poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) doped with NiCL sub(2) and varying amounts of CrCl sub(3). It was concluded that the stability of samples depends upon both composition and radiation dose. Moreover, the refractive indices were found to increase with increasing radiation dose over the range 5, 10, and 15 Mrad. |
