Summary: | Modeling infiltration phenomena with accurate formulas is of great importance to develop reliable hydrological models. In the present paper, recent advances on the solution of the three-parameter infiltration equation are discussed. The accuracy and applicability of exact and approximate solutions to the latter equation are considered. At first, solutions presented in the literature are taken into account. Subsequently, a new high accuracy approximate solution is derived. |
