Structure and properties of low temperature sintered ZnTa2O6 microwave dielectric ceramics
ZnTa2O6 microwave dielectrics were prepared using ZnTa2O6 nanopowders synthesised by sol-gel processing. The crystal structure and microstructure of the ZnTa2O6 powders and ceramics were characterised by XRD and SEM. ZnTa2O6 ceramics were densified at a lower sintering temperature of 1200 C. The mic...

Summary: | ZnTa2O6 microwave dielectrics were prepared using ZnTa2O6 nanopowders synthesised by sol-gel processing. The crystal structure and microstructure of the ZnTa2O6 powders and ceramics were characterised by XRD and SEM. ZnTa2O6 ceramics were densified at a lower sintering temperature of 1200 C. The microwave dielectric properties show that both Qxf and epsilonr values were lower than those of ceramics prepared by a solid state route, and the tauf values were the same as ceramics prepared by the solid state route. ZnTa2O6 ceramics sintered at 1200 C had good microwave dielectric properties: Qxf = 50600 GHz, epsilonr = 35.12 and tauf = 9.69 ppm/C. |
