Description
Summary:The results of construction and design work implemented at the Beloyarskaya NPP and making it possible to increase the safety of first-phase units and develop ways to handle spent fuel and radwastes are presented. The experience gained in the work at the Beloyarskaya NPP has been used to develop a procedure for decommissioning commercial uranium-graphite reactors on the grounds of the Siberian Chemical and Mining-Chemical Combines. The design solutions for equipment to be used in handling spent fuel and radwastes as well as the possibilities of using information technologies are shown.
