Summary:The non‐destructive inspection method of scale on the inner wall of the ferritic steel and austenitic steel of high temperature boiler tube and the application effect were introduced in our work. The risk of scale exfoliation on the inner wall was also assessed. The risk of tube burst caused by scale exfoliation and accumulation, was reduced greatly, or even avoided by means of the change or treatment of high‐risk tube confirmed by non‐destructive inspection method.
