Description
Summary:In the present work we focused on the monitoring of total mercury in forest ecosystem Volovske mountains, in the middle of the file which has been subjected tolong-termemission burden metal working plant in Rudnany. Sampling sites located between Rudnany and Krompachy in regular, well-defined distances. From everypoint of delivery, we sampled the soiland forest, respectively, pasture growth. In all samples, we conducted analyzes to determine mercury content on dedicated absorption spectrometry AMA 254 companies from Altech. The results of total mercury content in the soil show higher values compared with the limit value, especially at a distance of 5 km from the emission source (0.6888 to 10.0279 ug.g-1). Such high levels of mercury content in the soil creates an increased risk of contamination of biota, but this assumption does not apply, as shown by the results of analyzes the content of Hg in the stand.
