Description
Summary:The samples of soil for experiment were taken from arable field and meadow. Larvae of Laspeyresia pomonella, and Plodia interpunctella were used as an "insect bait" for isolation of entomopathogenic fungi from the soil. Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Paecilomyces farinosus and P. fumosoroseus were isolated from both kinds of soil. The kind of soil affected the occurrence of entomopathogenic fungi. The frequencies of entomopathogenic fungi were higher in meadow soil than in arable soil. Among isolated fungi only P. fumosoroseus seems to be typical for arable soil.
