A kinetic model describing the effect of temperature on the loss rate of pesticides in soil

The loss of pesticides in soil consists of biological degradation and nonbiological loss, while the nonbiological loss consists of chemical degradation and physical loss. This paper propounds a kinetic model describing the effect of temperature on pesticidal loss rate: ▪ where x is the concentration...

Description
Summary:The loss of pesticides in soil consists of biological degradation and nonbiological loss, while the nonbiological loss consists of chemical degradation and physical loss. This paper propounds a kinetic model describing the effect of temperature on pesticidal loss rate: ▪ where x is the concentration of pesticide at time t, k 1 the first-order rate constant at absolute temperature T, k 2 the second-order rate constant at T, c the minimum growth temperature for pesticide-degrading microorganisms, h the maximum growth temperature for the microorganisms, A 1 ∗ and A 2 ∗ the constants relating to the pre-exponential factor of growth process of the microorganisms, E ∗ the activation energy for growth process of the microorganisms, R the gas constant, A 1 and A 2 the constants relating to the pre-exponential factor of nonbiological loss process of the pesticide, and E the activation energy for nonbiological loss process of the pesticide.
