He argues that the main thing to criticize about the 2014 Viennale's 16mm endeavour was its size: a subject like this needs much more space than the 13 programs it was allotted. The Viennale selection was split into roughly equal halves with some program consisted of what one might call canonical works and others were devoted to forgotten and sidelined, if not completely anonymous, films.
