Description
Summary:In general, the selection between ultrasound and CT scan to be the radiologic tool for the diagnosis of acute appendicitis varies among institutions, depending on either the experience of radiologists or the patient characteristics. The major tool in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis in our institution is CT scan, and the main objective of our study was to find a clinical tool to decrease the use of unnecessary CT scan, not the comparison between the ultrasound and CT scan.
