Description
Summary:The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 brought to light serious conflicts between Democrats and Republicans, which still persist four years after the passage of the reform. This article analyzes the manifestations of this partisan politicization of health issues. It brings to light the reform process more brands by parties for twenty years and initiates a reflection on the consequences of these dynamics on the trajectory of American health policies. Stressing an acceleration of reforms from the 1990s, it supports the strengthening of partisan logic in the policy making process partly explaining the inflections that have been part of these policies.
