Description
Summary:The morphology of Codonofusiella, as illustrated here by a three-dimensional diagram, shows how the area of the apertural surface of a fusiform shell can be multiplied by imbrication of the septa, such as is found in annular, flat and large orbitolinas. Enlarged apertural surfaces of this kind may indicate that the animal inhabited a soft substrate.
