Ligand- and pH-Induced Conformational Changes of RNA Domain Helix69 Revealed by 2-Aminopurine Fluorescence

Description
Summary:Loop conformation: The loop of the RNA domain helix69 (H69) was modified with the fluorescent analogue 2-aminopurine (2AP), thus showing different conformational states under various conditions. The application of this model RNA reveals the unique impact of aminoglycoside neomycin, which differs from the effects of structurally related compounds paromomycin and gentamicin, on the H69 loop conformation in solution (see picture).
