Connecting neutron star observations to the high density equation of state of a quasiparticle model
The observation of the 1.97 + or - 0.04 solar-mass neutronlike star gives constraint on the equation of state of cold, condensed matter. In this paper, the equation of state for both the pure quark star and the hybrid star with a quark core described by the quasiparticle model are considered. The pa...

Summary: | The observation of the 1.97 + or - 0.04 solar-mass neutronlike star gives constraint on the equation of state of cold, condensed matter. In this paper, the equation of state for both the pure quark star and the hybrid star with a quark core described by the quasiparticle model are considered. The parameters of the quasiparticle model that affect the mass of both the quark star and the hybrid star can be constrained by the observation. |
