Summary: | Created by Litton Industries, this suit was the base design for spacesuits that were worn during early Apollo missions. It was meant for use in the high-pressure environment out-side of a spacecraft, with an exterior made from aluminum and fibreglass honeycomb. Most innovative at the time was the suit's maintenance of a constant air volume, so the wearer could move without joint discomfort. The feet were designed using a mould of Dutch clogs, without the pointy toe. |
