Summary: | New technologies are having a widespread impact on new product development (NPD)projects. In the telecommunication industry, companies are forced to integrate ‘old’ and ‘new’ ways of working with the utilization of unknown technologies. There is an emerging need to develop sustainable work systems. This paper investigates the complex relationship between NPD and the sustainability of the work systems in which it is organized. A proposed framework for analysis is followed by an examination of a specific NPD project at Ericsson. |
