Summary:Hummelinckiolus silhavyi new species is described from both the male and female from Dominican Republic amber (Upper Eocene in age). This is the first record of the genus from Hispaniola and the Greater Antilles. An emended diagnosis of Hummelinckiolus is provided. A modern Hummelinckiolus sp. is reported from St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.
