Summary:The oil of Blepharocalyx salicifolius (Humb., Bonpl. et Kunth) Berg. (Myrtaceae) was analyzed by gas chromatography employing modified cyclodextrins as chiral stationary phases. The major compounds were identified as 1,8-cineole (45.8%), (-)-beta-pinene (12.3%), (+)-limonene (7.9%), (-)-limonene (3.96%), myrcene (3.06%), (-)-alpha-pinene (2.40%), (+)-alpha-pinene (1.80%) and (S)-linalool (1.33%).
