Role of the tensor force in light nuclei with the tensor-optimized shell model

We investigate the structure of light nuclei using a bare nucleon-nucleon interaction. The tensor and short-range correlations are treated with the tensor-optimized shell model (TOSM) and the unitary correlation operator method (UCOM), respectively. In TOSM, the 2p2h states are fully optimized to de...

Description
Summary:We investigate the structure of light nuclei using a bare nucleon-nucleon interaction. The tensor and short-range correlations are treated with the tensor-optimized shell model (TOSM) and the unitary correlation operator method (UCOM), respectively. In TOSM, the 2p2h states are fully optimized to describe the large tensor contribution and also the corresponding high-momentum components. We use the AV8' interaction and show results for the excitation energy spectra and the radial properties of He and Li isotopes.
