Summary:We discuss the recent progress on black hole entropy in loop quantum gravity, focusing in particular on the recently discovered discretization effect for microscopic black holes. Powerful analytical techniques have been developed to perform the exact computation of entropy. A statistical analysis of the structures responsible for this effect shows its progressive damping and eventual disappearance as one increases the considered horizon area.
