Summary: | In this paper an attempt has been made to apply Pitzer equations into the Kedem and Spiegler expression of volume flux to obtain an effective method for calculating osmotic pressure differences across membranes. The agreement between the calculated values and the corresponding experimental results demonstrates that the method is reasonable and feasible for hyperfiltration processes. |
