Summary: | The Petitgrain essential oils of Citrus latifolia Tanaka (two varieties, Lime Tahiti and Lime de Perse) and Citrus limon (L.) Burm.f. (three varieties, Meyer, Eureka, Doux), Family Rutaceae, from Reunion Island (Indian Ocean) have been analysed by GC–MS. Some major components found on Supelcowax column are β‐pinene, sabinene, limonene, citronellal, linalool, neral, geranial and neryl acetate, in different amounts according to variety.
