Microbial transformation of sarsasapogenin by Fusarium lini
The fermentation of sarsasapogenin with Fusarium lini yielded two metabolites identified as 3 β-acetoxysarsasapogenin and 7 α-hydroxysarsasapogenin. The metabolites showed dose dependent spasmolytic activity in rat duodenum.
