Summary:The present study examines the prevalence of violence against under-age female domestic workers. For a variety of reasons, the narratives of these child-victims remain unheard. This study investigates factors that force these young girls to seek under-paid jobs as domestic workers in Lahore city, and to identify the types of maltreatment which these young girls face in different circumstances. The aim of this research is to tell the story of the victims so that their plight is known and remedial measures are adopted. The sample for the present research consists of female domestic workers (age 8-15) living in Lahore. Findings of the study show that these young girls were deprived of all the necessities of life and lead a vulnerable life. A majority were facing physical and sexual violence from parents and employers as well.
