Summary:In this communication, Pt nanoparticles (NPs) were successfully loaded on hierarchical TiO sub(2) nanotube arrays (TiO sub(2) NTs) for efficient decomposition of gas phase pollutants. The loading of Pt NPs on TiO sub(2) NTs significantly enhanced the photocatalytic activity due to reduction of the recombination of photogenerated electrons and holes.
