Aeollanthus pubescens Benth. a potential source of thymol-rich essential oil
The leaf and stem steam-distilled oil of Aeollanthus pubescens Benth. cultivated in Lome (Togo) was isolated and analyzed for percentage composition using both GC and GC/MS. Oils from fresh or dry herb contained thymol (46-50%) and gamma-terpinene (12-13%) as the main components.
