Summary:Experiments were carried out on the characteristics of the transition area for water solutions of sodium sulphate under low mass velocities and pressures. Calculations were made on a two-zone evaporator whose production is increased and recommendations of the optimum design are given. The effect of porous coating on heat transfer was studied on the “I” evaporator type in TPS-8 MOSENERGO.
