Effects of environmental enrichment on behavioral deficits and alterations in hippocampal BDNF induced by prenatal exposure to morphine in juvenile rats

Highlights • Prenatal morphine induces deficits at both the behavioral and the biochemical levels. • A marked reversibility of deficits was found following environmental enrichment. • Environmental enrichment alleviates disorders produced by early insults.
