Description
Summary:An iterative inverse design method is developed for obtaining the blade geometry that corresponds to the required pressure distribution. AUSM(+)-up scheme is used for flux computation and implemented on finite volume unstructured grid. The blade geometry is modified after certain iterations, and the spring analogy is used for mesh deformation after each modification. The robustness of the method is determined by verifying that the final blade geometry is independent of the initial choice of the blade profile. Results for a compressor cascade are presented in this paper.
