Quantification of extraction of colloid iron oxide hydroxides by Di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid

A mathematical model of extraction is proposed based on the concept of the adsorption of an extractant by nanosized colloid particles. The composition and structure of extractable species are discussed.
