Summary:Testing for benefits, especially the safety of prophylactic dexamethasone in patients already prescribed NSAIDs, could be an important future question. Because of the short half-life of dexamethasone, we deemed the quality of life and adverse event data that we reported at day 10, 5 days after completing prophylactic dexamethasone, as best showing the effect of the drug on these endpoints.
