Barium–Bismuth molybdate – a novel promising material for stimulated Raman scattering
The phase equilibria diagram of the BaMoO4–Bi2(MoO4)3 system has been studied. It was found that three phases BaMoO4, BaBi2(MoO4)4 and Bi2(MoO4)3 are formed in the system. The melting behavior of BaBi2(MoO4)4 was investigated, and single crystals of this compound were grown for the first time to the...

Summary: | The phase equilibria diagram of the BaMoO4–Bi2(MoO4)3 system has been studied. It was found that three phases BaMoO4, BaBi2(MoO4)4 and Bi2(MoO4)3 are formed in the system. The melting behavior of BaBi2(MoO4)4 was investigated, and single crystals of this compound were grown for the first time to the best of our knowledge. It was shown, that BaBi2(MoO4)4 is the promising active medium for conversion of laser radiation on the stimulated Raman scattering effect.
