Summary: | The problems of increasing the efficiency of electric steelmaking under the application of tubular (hollow) electrodes for supplying iron ore prereduced pellets directly to the high-temperature zone on the surface of a liquid metal are considered. It is shown that the use of an energy-saving regime based on the developed algorithm for the new method of charging pellets makes it possible to decrease the metal losses and to increase the energy efficiency of electric steelmaking. |
