Exposure to fipronil elevates systolic blood pressure and disturbs related biomarkers in plasma of rats
Highlights • Pesticide fipronil elevates the blood pressure in rats. • High levels of vasoconstrictor peptide endothelin-1 were induced by fipronil exposure. • Low antioxidant capacity is secondary to fipronil exposure. • Fipronil exposure reduced matrix metalloproteinase 2 and nitric oxide.
