Summary:More than 60 fossil achenes of Eleofimbris svensonii (Cyperaceae) were recovered from strata in Scott County, Kansas tentatively assigned to the late Miocene Ash Hollow Formation. This collection extends the temporal range of the taxon in this formation more than 130 km west and 20 km south and more than doubles the number of specimens available for study.
