The Study of TSP, PM sub(2.5 10) and PM sub(2.5) During Taiwan Chi-Chi Earthquake in the Traffic Site of Central Taiwan, Taichung

Ambient particle samples were collected in the center of Taichung, Taiwan, from August to December 1999, and concentrations of total suspended particulates (TSPs), PM sub(2.5 10), and PM sub(2.5) were measured. During the sampling period, a large earthquake occurred. The concentration of TSPs increa...

Description
Summary:Ambient particle samples were collected in the center of Taichung, Taiwan, from August to December 1999, and concentrations of total suspended particulates (TSPs), PM sub(2.5 10), and PM sub(2.5) were measured. During the sampling period, a large earthquake occurred. The concentration of TSPs increased significantly following the earthquake, but the PM sub(10) and TSPs exhibited the same distribution trend. Prior to the earthquake, the average PM sub(2.5 10), PM sub(2.5), and TSP concentrations were 24.6, 58.0, and 106.0 mu g/m super(3), respectively.
