Description
Summary:Responses from several poets on what should they do and poetry readers be thinking about or doing for the next thirty days are presented. Among other things, poet Edward Hirsch compiles and read some of his favorite short poems. It would be an event for National Poetry Month. Reading poetry has helped him deliver to himself. It gives him a language for experience--not just his own experience but also the experience of others. He wouldn't recognize himself without being able to read and reread poetry. For National Poetry Month, Hirsch recommends this sustaining way of being alone with others.
