Description
Summary:Highlights • We used Fixsen and colleagues' (2005) three levels of implementation to assess North Carolina's adolescent pregnancy prevention strategies. • Nearly half (48%) of counties in North Carolina were implementing an adolescent pregnancy prevention program. • All counties that were implementing adolescent pregnancy prevention programs were receiving funding. • These counties were also more likely to implement core and organizational strategies, in comparison to external strategies. • The counties implementing external strategies (i.e., adolescent friendly clinics/services) significantly reduced their adolescent pregnancy rates (β = -0.412, p = .003).
