Summary:Main disadvantageous of federal regulation of pollutant concentrations in water reservoirs for fishery purposes have been considered. Ecologically acceptable concentrations (EACs) of metals in major water streams of St. Petersburg have been calculated, and statistically significant relations between the EAC values and Clarkes of metals have been revealed.
