This study aims to identify the way in which studies territorial provide skills to students in higher education, and the way that graduates contribute to regional development from their current job, under the assumption that individual skills acquired in educational training become collective and contribute to the development of the territories. two case studies with information departments teaching, and semistructured interviews were handled. The results include that (a) the origins of the master respond to local educational demands, and have a strong relationship with their environment (border development and municipal specialization); (B) between the skills of graduates include an interdisciplinary profile and cognitive skills; (C) the realization of the transformation from individual to collective capacities, although it is subject to exogenous factors, the cases studied show this passage always subject to resources where they develop. http://www.redalyc.org/html/357/35744556009/index.html] Reprinted by permission of the Centro Interdisciplinario de Estudios Regionales
