Summary: | Progress in the development of telemetric methods and innovative technologies of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) design promises the wide use of implantable microbiosensors in medicine in the near future. The application of MEMS sensors can be useful for continuous monitoring of basic parameters of blood circulation in humans. This article considers the current development of wireless implantable sensors (including those already used in human studies), the most important requirements for implantable sensors, as well as a number of problems associated with their development. |
