Summary: | Two new complexes, [Cd(L)2(bipy)0.5(H2O)] and [Zn(L)2(bipy)] (HL=3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid and bipy=4,4'-bipyridine) have been synthesised and structurally characterised by single-crystal diffraction analysis. Although both complexes have a one-dimensional network, the resulting supramolecular architectures are different. Their three-dimensional fluorescence spectra are reported. |
