Description
Summary:The Vostochnotagilskii massif (VTM; also known as Krasnouralskii) is one of the largest in the Middle and North Urals. This massif occurs in the meridian direction for >300 km and controls the SerovskoMaukskii ophiolite complex separating the Tagil and Magnitogorsk paleoisland arc zones. Samples of serpentinized dunite and harzburgite were collected in the Kutuzovskii mine for chromite ores. Zircons were extracted by the classic method from ground samples of dunite and harzburgite and then picked manually.
